The door strike plate as listed on eBay said it measured 2-1/2" tall. That is a very rare size (I've been looking for one for months for my ca. 1950-built house, with no success). All of the one's made recently are 2-1/4". So I thought I finally found one! Alas, whoever measured the one for sale did a sloppy job - it was really a common 2-1/4". Oh well, six bucks and and a wishful purchase down the drain.
