Nice alternative to DSLR with big expensive lens if you just want to capture distant objects without the bulk or worry of damaging equipment. Image quality is good enough to see what's going on at typical binocular distance or farther. It's far from pro-quality image, obviously at this price. Just be patient with the slightest movements to get the camera perfectly centered over your camera lens, you'll see image in most of your screen
