This Vortex model has a roof prism design for a compact profile. Its quality optics are fully multi coated on all the air to glass surfaces. Full multi coating reduces glare and reflection, so there can be no flashes to spook your quarry if you are hunting or annoy the players if you are watching sports. The coatings can also allow for better light transmission. Finally, they can help protect the optics from scratches and nicks. The eye relief on this Vortex Solo monocular is 15 millimeters. If you wear eyeglasses, or if you usually wear sunglasses when you are outdoors, the adjustable eyecup can give you more flexibility in setting the distance between your eye and the lens. The eyecup is a twist up style that you can easily move to the position that is most comfortable, and it can give you the best view. An exit pupil size of 3.6 millimeters can make this monocular great for daytime viewing. It has a linear field of view of 325 feet at 1,000 yards, which corresponds to an angular field of view of 6.2 degrees. This puts it just below what would be considered a wide angle monocular. It can give you all the width you need to follow your target, but not so much that you lose it in the expanse of the background. These Solo accessories can be easily focused using the focus wheel on the eyepiece. You simply turn the wheel clockwise to see more distant objects or counterclockwise for objects that are closer. They have a close focus of 16.4 feet, which means that you can get a sharp image of anything at that distance or beyond. Your investment in one of these Vortex Solo 10x36 monocular accessories can be protected by its durable rubber armor casing that protects it from shock. The grip has a diamond checkered design to make it easy to hold in wet or cold weather. Nitrogen purging and O-ring seals make it waterproof and fogproof, and they can keep out dust and debris. You can attach a lanyard to the hole in the grip if you want to carry the monocular around your neck or hang it up. It also comes with a sturdy metal utility clip that lets you attach it to your pocket, belt, or tactical gear just as you would do with any other accessories for easy access. The clip can be removed with tools if you prefer a more streamlined look.
