New editions of CD-R Audio media are produced in newer, other technologies and more powerful laser beams are needed to record them.In the description of the auction, in honest bold font, there is a detailed description of problems with recording on Philips CDR5xx/7xx/8xx. (IMPORTANT TECHNICAL INFO). For Philips CDR 5/7/8 models, I recommend old editions of CD-R Audio
