It charged by earbuds, but it totally failed as a backup charger when on the go. Not good enough at all. By contrast, the case I bought from OEM Products fits the bill. It functions just as my original case did - charges my earbuds AND holds a big fat charge - I can keep recharging all day. Yeah! Thanks!
