I was made an offer to buy this item for AU$269.99 + AU$15 p&p totalling AU$284.99 which I was happy to pay. Now I have also been charged AU$57.01 for VAT. Nowhere in the transaction was this additional tax mentioned until the point of checkout, by which time I was committed to buy. Whenever I have bought from overseas vendors, local purchase taxes are included in the final price. UK buyers beware the VAT con!!
