Scurry along the off-road racing trails with this action-packed and adventure-laden game for the Microsoft Xbox 360. As its title implies, MX vs. ATV Supercross is about racing both MX and ATV vehicles across the wilderness. The storyline is simple but engaging as you look to become the top racer on the circuit. Throughout a variety of game modes like Free Ride, your only objective is to land in first place. There are more than 80 licensed motocross companies in this release along with professional riders to help create a realistic experience. This entry in the series was developed by Rainbow Studios and published by Nordic Games. It had a release in 2014 for the Xbox 360 platform. Controlling your vehicle in this Xbox game is done using the Rider Reflex system. Whether you're riding on an MX or an ATV, this Xbox title is all about balance. Whenever you land from a jump, your rider needs to be perfectly level on his bike. This Rider Reflex system lets you adjust and distribute your weight on either your MX or ATV vehicle. Mastering how to distribute your weight can mean the difference between a successful landing and horrible crash. Once you've mastered how to land from a jump, you can get creative while in the air. Whether on an MX or an ATV, the player can pull off an assortment of tricks while flying through the sky. This Xbox version of MX vs. ATV Supercross introduces some additional gameplay elements to the mix. By flicking the analog stick, players can now make their vehicle do a small hop. When done at the end of a big ramp, this little hop will let you get more air than normal. In a Supercross event, you can use this trick to get a huge lead over the competition. However, you'll need to watch your back at all times as the AI won't let you stay in the lead for long. The AI during a race will quickly close the distance when you're in the lead. This gameplay mechanic serves to keep the action interesting as you'll always find yourself battling another racer. When you're tired of thrashing the computer in this Nordic Games title, you can hop online for multiplayer. In the online mode, you can compete with other players from all over the globe. Each player can choose from either a bike or a quad when selecting a vehicle. You can choose any game mode to race on, from a single race to a Supercross event. The graphics in this video game take advantage of the full capabilities of the Xbox 360. MX vs. ATV Supercross spares no expense when rendering even the tiniest detail. For example, every fan in the stadium is unique, with no two fans being repeated. Each of the 17 tracks in this title features a unique setting. While some tracks take place inside, others let you roam the countryside. Like other entries in this series, this title earned an ESRB rating of E for everyone.
