Can't imagine how to use it as such. I can only imagine holding it under a swarm and shaking the bees into the upside down trap, then drawing the string closed to transport them. I usually use a cardboard box for that purpose, and transport them in my car wrapped in a bedsheet. Next swarm, I will try this out and see.

But, after I contacted eBay about the error he refunded my entire amount. The quality of the buckles are average for the price I paid. I ended up buying the webbing from a different seller because I didn't want to deal with this seller anymore.
