Originally designed for a 3ds xl but was able to use it on a normal original 3ds that had a broken port. The provided 3d printed jig makes it easier to solder in place and if you take your time you can carefully save the jig for reuse. Will require removal of plastic from the cavity where the old port sat and trimming the black plastic that would sit behind the original port as shown in pictures.
