This sideways -drilled nut with steel wire fitting through can secure the nut for peace of mind against vibration that can loosen it at high speed. Even if you’re not gonna track it, if you’re gonna enjoy a country road with its corners, you’ll be glad you had this safety feature. On top of wiring it, I put a couple of dots of red Loctite 271.

The hole was drilled very close to the edge, which seriously compromises its structural integrity. This flaw makes it unsuitable for any real load-bearing use, as it could easily shear or deform under pressure. Additionally, the item was not shipped promptly. It was dropped off at the post office about a full week after the shipping label was printed, which added unnecessary delay and frustration. Now, I have to open a return, and my car sits.
