I've had a couple pairs of Airpods (1st/2nd gen) and the microphone is unreliable both instances. Only downside is if you don't take care to tuck in the wires they get snagged on cupboards and ripped from my ears. Authentic open box Apple headphones for a great price. I'll be back when this pair bites the dust.
