Brightness does go down after 15+ minutes of runtime as all do, and it gets decently hot, but not uncomfortably so. However if you're looking to use eBay to avoid using Amazon, look elsewhere. This is a middleman seller who just takes your money and orders you a product on Amazon. This is a scummy practice that should be illegal, and should be fully disclosed in the product and seller description.
