The base is cast iron and it's lined with heavy brass, as are other parts that might rust. The nozzle is lightweight zinc or aluminum. I just tried it out and it worked really well, throwing a lot of water and reciprocating as it should. I am using this mainly for fire mitigation and protection. I'm very satisfied with the seller and the product. Good deal. Thank you.
