I was almost considering sending it back then the sun came out, and outdoors it is a much nicer gem in the sunlight and looks just like the pics so I decided to keep it. I purchased it knowing that there were 3 specs of sand in the opal face, however the brightness from this opal is so brilliant that you don't even notice the sand specs.
