The colorful, design-heavy art by debut picture book illustrator Gonzales is bright and welcoming. The cheerful pinks, oranges, and teals not usually associated with Hanukkah books make this primer stand out among the usual fare. This charming abecedarian on the Festival of Lights fills a gap in Spanish/English bilingual collections., There are so many reasons why I'm glad this book exists: It's a beautiful addition to Hanukkah kids' lit for Jewish Americans -- especially Latinx Jews who don't have many books catered to them. It's a way to introduce non-Spanish-speaking Jewish children to a new language early on. And it's also a great introduction to the Jewish holiday for Spanish-speaking homes; after all, Spanish is the second most popular language in this country.

The only problem is a recurring one with this seller and other similar sellers - the book is poorly packaged in a plastic envelope and gets heavily bumped in shipping. I would like to see the books wrapped before shipment, but I understand this can't be done for cost reason. Luckily it isn't an expensive book, and I will continue to purchase basic books from this seller. A+++++

I'm a returning customer and will keep buying from World of Books
