Most of my purchase feedback is simply "exactly as advertised" but in this case which again is a first for me, is that the purchase was better than simply the item is as advertised and exceeded expectations.

A few days after I inquired with the seller about this, they replied with an option for a refund or resend - chose resend, have received and checked out tripod, and all is well.
