Product Information
Extreme Mountain Biking features four high-flying, pedal-mashing, tire-popping events. Choose Practice Mode or Single Event Mode and head into the Downhill Race, the Trials, the Single Track Race or Gate Racing. After selecting your event, you choose one of 12 riders from the Trek Racing Team (six female and six male) and your mountain bike out of eight available, each tailored to work with specific events.<br><br>In the Downhill Race, you race against other riders in a straight shot from the top of the mountain to the bottom. Along the way, arrows will point out the flat parts of the course. You must grab these floating arrows -- or at least get very close to them -- or the computer will not allow you to finish the race. The Trek Team Riders who specialize in the Downhill are Gladys, Count and Stymie.<br><br>In the Trials, your rider will attack a hilly course and compete against other riders in an attempt to score the most points before time runs out. Scoring points means catching high air and pulling off tricks. Watch out for other riders as they will knock you down if possible. The Trek Team Riders who specialize in Trial Riding are Verna, Kim and Lars.<br><br>In the Single Track Race, you race against other riders on a motocross course. Filled with twists, turns and jumps, this event requires a bike that handles well. Floating arrows mark the path of the course and you must grab these arrows as you ride. Trek Team Riders who are adept at Singles are June, Corky and Larry.<br><br>In Gate Racing, you race against another rider in a slalom style race to the bottom of the mountain. You must cross between the red and blue gates to finish the race. If you miss one, the race does not end until you go back and cross it. The best Gate Racers on the Trek Team are Ethel, Chasie and Leroy.<br><br>If you complete an event faster than the five previous fastest times (or with more points in the Trials Event), you can enter and save your name in the records kept for each event. Extreme Mountain Biking is for one player only and features several camera angles from which to choose.
