It was sent wrapped in clean, new, tissue paper, which was then wrapped in an overly generous amount of bubble wrap which was then placed in a box. A bit overkill. I shuddered for our environment, but I'm sure the seller meant well. I am saving the packaging so I can reuse it before it ends up recycling center (hopefully!). All this, and the seller only charged reasonable $7.95 shipping. Shame on the people who charge $14.95+++
