However, I was under the impression from the description that this would fit early VW but the item measures as a late model 110mm 12V generator rather than the 90mm 6V. As I am in the middle of the restoration phase, I cannot evaluate the alternator conversion quite yet, but so far the product looks good. I will now need to find an alternate fan shroud which I was trying to avoid. I hope they will consider building a 90mm version of this part.

- d***1 (3025)- Bewertung vom Käufer.Vor über einem JahrBestätigter KaufSlightly larger diameter than a (Bosch) alternator so sits higher in the stand by about 2mm - doesn't sound a lot but is does mean that the tinware needs adjustment, especially around the doghouse oil cooler. Also puts the pulley further away from the fanhousing than an alternator so had to shim the crank pulley out to maintain belt alignment. Other than that (!) great item and a good idea.
