The french edition you received is the same except for a text on the yellow ribbon on the front. Otherwise the game is identical to english edition. And you are correct that it was mentioned in fine print that it was the french edition, just so nobody would be confused. So you did well by reading the fine print. Kudos! ;) I hope you enjoy the game!
