    Why did the Yeti cross the road? To find a mate of course. Urban Yeti!, a Cave Barn developed title, sees players take on the persona of the mythical creature as he ventures into the big city in search of love. Viewed from a top-down 2D perspective, players must explore three diverse locations, avoiding the easily scared public and engaging in a number of mini-games along the way. Onscreen arrows help nudge players toward a particular objective, however while exploring the city, the Yeti will need to remain unsighted, lest they be hit by vehicles or maliciously attacked by angry mobs, policemen, dogs ,and other such denizens. Capable of performing only a rudimentary punch, the Yeti will often need to seek out health items, such as hot dogs. If the situation calls for it, the Yeti can even pick fleas from his fur in order to regain vital health points. <br><br>An in-game clock keeps players abreast of the time of day, and depending on the current time, the Yeti may or may not be able to perform specific tasks. Text messages, such as alerts that the female Yeti is nearby, inform players of significant in-game events. Skulking in the shadows will prevent unnecessary encounters and thus conserve energy, but should players desire, they can cause wanton destruction, punching cars, destroying objects and hurting civilians at will.<br><br>Homage is paid to games of yesteryear, such as Tapper and Toobin, in the form of four mini-games spread throughout the adventure. In one such mini-game, the Yeti takes on the role of a soup kitchen manager, who must serve customers as quickly as possible while taking time to gather the tips they leave behind. Another sees the love struck beast floating through a sewer, avoiding alligators and other floating hindrances. The final two disciplines require the Yeti to throw chickens into a meat grinder while avoiding the roosters trying to peck him, and to compete in a disc-throwing tournament against fellow Yetis. A password save allows players to record their progress and upon completion, they are rewarded with hidden features such as a sound test or the ability to play any of the four mini-games.
