Synopsis
When a pair of Scottish thistle fairies end up in Manhattan by mistake, the Big Apple is in for some unusual times. This is anything but a typical fairy fantasy., Dinnie, an overweight enemy of humanity, was the worst violinist in New York, but was practicing gamely when two cute little fairies stumbled through his fourth-floor window and vomited on the carpet. . . . When a pair of fugitive Scottish thistle fairies end up transplanted to Manhattan by mistake, both the Big Apple and the Little People have a lot of adjusting to do. Heather and Morag just want to start the first radical fairy punk rock band, but first they'll have make a match between two highly unlikely sweethearts, start a street brawl between rival gangs of Italian, Chinese, and African fairies, help the ghost of a dead rocker track down his lost guitar, reclaim a rare triple-bloomed Welsh poppy from a bag lady with delusions of grandeur, disrupt a local community performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream, and somehow manage to stay sober enough to save all of New York from an invasion of evil Cornish fairies. If they can stop feuding with each other, that is. A racy and irreverent novel by Martin Millar, winner of the World Fantasy Award., In this fish-out-of-water story--the winner of the World Fantasy Award--two Scottish thistle fairies find themselves in Manhattan.

- a***e (272)- Bewertung vom Käufer.Letzter MonatBestätigter KaufCondition was as described. Shipping was fast. Book was bubble wrapped and placed in poly bag. Spine was a little dirty.
- i***9 (26817)- Bewertung vom Käufer.Letzte 6 MonateBestätigter KaufThis book arrived today and could have been packaged a bit better. The vinyl shipping envelope did not protect this book from marring, damaged book corners and cover sleeve damage. The mailer was also torn. Perhaps wrapping the book in a cardboard cover will have prevented the damaged to the product inside. Would not have added anymore shipping cost of USPS Bound Printed Matter. Needs improvement in shipping. I got a good decent copy as opposed to New. The price was fair for what I receive.Killing the Legends: The Lethal Danger of Celebrity (Bill O'Reilly's Killing Ser (Nr. 376249080564)
