The Audyssey technology allows it to adjust surround sound the size and shape of the room it is in. It distributes bass and treble well. The bass notes are delivered without vibration so that you can get that deep bass impact that you want.This 7.1-channel, 700-watt receiver offers three HDMI inputs. The advanced HDMI and Dolby Digital EX of this accessory allows you to enjoy a great A/V experience. With these connections, you can receive and switch them between your Blu-ray and HD DVD player, cable box, media center, and gaming console. The advanced processing devices from Texas Instruments and Cirrus Logic allow this unit to adjust to digital audio updates with ease.The Onkyo TX-SR705 audio receiver features MultEQ XT, a powerful built-in solution for countering distortion in home theaters. The TX-SR705 quickly detects connected speakers and sets levels, delays, and crossovers. This automatic process results in a clear, well-balanced, and natural sound for a more enjoyable bass listening experience. This unit delivers a balanced tone to your speakers and amplifier. You can also connect your electric guitars and bass guitar to it for listening to their bass sound through your speakers.The special features on this device include an HDM VA.3 repeater and HDMI video up-conversion with DCDi technology. HDMI 1.3a gives you a wide bandwidth for higher resolutions, 36-bit vibrant color, and high frame rates. Because of this, the receivers deliver optimally timed audio as the video changes. The Onkyo receiver also has Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD decoding. These features optimize the display when you are playing your international Blu-ray and DVD movies. It is also outfitted with THX Select2 certification. This certification optimizes your listening and viewing experience when you are seated about 10 to 12 feet away from the speaker. This system's speaker provides 12.5 amperes of peak current for its front channels and 6.2 amperes for its surround speaker units.The output connections on this product include front, center, and surround speaker. It also has output for DTS, IR, antenna, and monitor. It has three HDMI input ports for connecting Blu-rays and HD DVD players, satellite boxes, and DSL cable service. Its other input options include DVI connection and component video connections. With the component video, you can use S-Video and composite input sources. Its built-in deinterlacing chip with Faroudja DCDi Edge easily converts HDTV images.The manual setup of these accessories is simple.
