The DK Bongos will record any nearby high-pitched sound, so you can bang the drums or clap in time with the scrolling colors to receive a better score. Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, and Dixie Kong are all available as playable characters."Donkey Konga 2" for the Nintendo GameCube is bursting with content that will take many enjoyable hours to complete. With a single DK Bongos controller, you can put on a solo performance or hone your drumming skills. Earn DK coins in Street Performance mode to buy more songs and unlock minigames. The game also features a robust multiplayer component. Challenge a friend to clear as many songs in a row as possible or battle against your friend for master musician rights and a better score. Connect up to four bongos for a multiplayer musical mash-up, in which each player must perform a different part of the song and attempt to stay in sync. Or, just throw a jam session for freestyling fun.In order to fully appreciate the "Donkey Konga 2" multiplayer modes, additional bongo accessories can be incorporated. Alternatively, if you do not want to use the DK Bongos, you can also play with a regular GameCube pad and attempt to match the rhythm on the screen with the press of a button.The North American release version of "Donkey Konga 2" for the Nintendo GameCube features a selection of both classic tracks from previous decades and hit music from the 1990s and mid-2000s. This includes "All Star" by Smash Mouth, "Come Clean" by Hillary Duff, "Shiny Happy People" by R.E.M., "Trouble" by P!nk, "Shining Star" by Earth, Wind & Fire, "You Can't Hurry Love" by The Supremes, "Boombastic" by Shaggy, and "No More Drama" by Mary J. Blige. Rock out to familiar tunes in popular genres, such as pop, hip-hop, R&B, and rock. The game also features a selection of classical music, such as the "Minute Waltz" by Frederic Chopin.
