The powerful zoom lens gives you the flexibility and precision you need to capture professionally-polished images. If you like to get close to your subjects, use auto macro for shots up to 1 inch from your subject. Advanced HAD CCD Hole Accumulation Diode CCD reduces noise in the video signal to improve signal-to-noise ratio by up to 6dB (2x better than a standard CCD). The Solar Window Panel, located behind the large, full-color LCD screen, captures ambient light so the screen doesn't "wash out", even in difficult lighting conditions. The screen prevents eyestrain by letting you preview your shots right on the camera back. InfoLithium battery with AccuPower meter lets you know the amount of power remaining in the battery to within 1 minute of accuracy. The lithium-ion battery also recharges faster and resists memorization far better than nickel-cadmium batteries. Intelligent flash provides the perfect amount of flash for optimum brightness and color accuracy in any lighting conditions. Black-and-White and Sepia modes enhance your creativity with the ability to take black and white photos, or switch to Sepia mode for that old-time look. Built-in flash with red-eye reduction provides automatic or manual control at the touch of a button to capture low-light images. The pre-flash mode virtually eliminates bothersome "red eye" effects on snapshots.
