I thought I had read that he had some kind of eye to keep him from bumping into things. I can only speak for the device I received and it does NOT appear to have any kind of sensor so at first there is a lot of bumping into things. What he DOES DO is LEARN. I guess his software is mapping out the room and when he bumps into things so he can remember for next time.

Better than roombas for sure!
