Kimbel and Cabus were among the most progressive design reformers of their time. Modern Gothic is the first publication to explore the timeless American immigrant success story of the trailblazing New York City design team who captured national attention with their imaginative furniture forms and defined a significant aesthetic in the United States. Kimbel and Cabus produced an amazing variety of modern gothic furniture and worked in a panoply of styles to satisfy the broadest range of markets. They also produced one of the first photographic catalogues for use as a selling tool. It was shipped from Pennsylvania, to Atlanta, past Alabama to Texas, enjoyed several days in Texas, then to Minneapolis, Jacksonville, Florida, back to Atlanta, finally to Birmingham, and Huntsville. The seller was very responsive and I decided it was interesting to see if/how the book would arrive. However I had a slight issues with the item(could have been damaged by carrier not sure) but seller made good with a full refund immediately after I contacted them about the issue. I would do business again based on the excellent customer service and would highly recommend seller.
