Media Persian by Dominic Brookshaw fills a noticeable gap both for students of Persian language and also for others interested in Persian and in getting first-hand information from the media of Iran and other Persian-speaking countries. Available bilingual dictionaries by and large are not up-to-date, especially in regards to the constantly evolving and changing lexical items used in print, in the audio-visual media, and on the internet.
