Reviews
"Penn Jillette is a 21st-century Lordof Misrule: big, boisterously anarchic, funny, Rabelaisian, impossible-andunique. There isn't-couldn't be-better not be-anybody like him." - Richard Dawkins, bestselling author of The Greatest Show on Earth and The God Delusion, "There are few people in the country who question more boldly, brashly and bravely than my friend Penn Jillette. This book is funny, provocative and profane. But is it right? God, no!" - Glenn Beck, "This planet has yielded exactly one mutual friend for Glenn Beck and me and that friend has written a brilliant book called God, No!. Penn reveals 'the big secret of magic,' tells you why tattoos are perfect expressions of atheism and exactly what to eat when you know you're going to vomit later." - Lawrence O' Donnell, "Jillette has made a career as a provocateur, and it is tempting to dismiss this book as another piece of carny shtick, but there is a forceful intelligence at work here that demands to be taken seriously. He has shaped his argument with care." - Daniel Stashower, Washington Post Book World, "Jillette has made a career as a provocateur, and it is tempting to dismiss this book as another piece of carny shtick, but there is a forceful intelligence at work here that demands to be taken seriously. He has shaped his argument with care."--Daniel Stashower, Washington Post Book World, "People who say that libertarians have no heart or atheists have no soul need to read this book. Because Penn Jillette has a lot of both." -Matt Stone and Trey Parker, creators of South Park and award-winning Broadway musical The Book of Mormon

Synopsis
The New York Times bestselling, irreverently funny reinterpretation of the Ten Commandments by Penn?Jillette--atheist, skeptic, and the larger, louder half of the magic duo Penn?& Teller. In God, No! , Penn blends secular comedy, satire of the Ten Commandments, and personal memoir with sharp-witted flair. From performing on the Las Vegas strip, mingling with Siegfried?&?Roy, to fatherhood and ongoing debates with proselytizers of the Christian Right, Penn shares his atheist memoir with outrageous humor. Packed with tales of sex while scuba-diving, magic on stage, and fearless skepticism, God, No! offers a uniquely entertaining, life-affirming freethinker memoir that redefines belief, morality, and laughter., The New York Times bestselling reinterpretation of the Ten Commandments from the larger, louder half of the world-famous magic duo Penn & Teller. A scathingly funny reinterpretation of the Ten Commandments from the larger, louder half of world-famous magic duo Penn and Teller reveals an atheist's experience in the world: from performing on the Vegas strip with Siegfried and Roy to children and fatherhood to his ongoing dialogue with proselytizers of the Christian Right and the joys of sex while scuba-diving, Penn has an outrageous sense of humor and a brilliantly entertaining opinion on, well, anything you care to think of.

- e***- (122)- Bewertung vom Käufer.Letzter MonatBestätigter KaufUnfortunately I received a damaged book, the item and the package both were damaged and it was clearly evident its appearance that it happened during transit. The seller was very understanding and gave me a full refund for the damaged book, though it was no fault of their own. Other than the damage, the book was as described, the quality and condition aside from the damaged spot was like new. The cost of the book was reasonable. I would definitely purchase from the seller again.
- v***v (2103)- Bewertung vom Käufer.Letzte 6 MonateBestätigter KaufAlthough this book was not as described, with no picture of it in the listing, the seller communicated well and quickly gave me a full refund while letting me keep it. The minimal packaging left the book a bit vulnerable (typical for ThriftBooks), but it did arrive safely and timely. As usual, it’s hit or miss with this seller, but often times you can get great values, and their customer service is always very good. Many other sellers with millions of transactions don’t even communicate. How to chalk talk, by Harlan Tarbell (Nr. 197064259889)
