The Pentax SMC P 67 55 mm - 100 mm lens is an interchangeable zoom lens renowned for its sharp contrast and color rendering. It's designed for the Pentax 67II, a medium format 6/7 camera with a storied history. This 55 mm - 100 mm zoom lens is one of over 30 lens accessories designed for this model. Highlighting the fine tuning of the Pentax SMC P 67 55 mm - 100 mm lens are the 11 built-in elements in 9 groups. When fastened to a 6/7 camera and mounted on a sturdy tripod, this Pentax camera zoom lens can offer an array of image capabilities without the need to change lenses. An added feature, its fully automatic diaphragm maintains the focal ratio while zoomed. It has a focal range of 55 mm - 100 mm. With a corresponding angle of view between 78 and 48 degrees, it covers the middle ground between wide angle and telephoto. Furthermore, this 55 mm - 100 mm zoom lens has an aperture range of f/4.5 to f/32, making it sensitive to subtle gradations of lighting. Finally, with a minimum focus of 60 centimeters, this Pentax camera zoom lens maintains its resolving power when photographing close objects such as insects, flowers, and pond circles. Nevertheless, the Pentax SMC P 67 55 mm - 100 mm lens is best suited for outdoor still photography seen in landscaping and architecture.
