- Three (3) quarto volumes in fine maroon cloth covers, bindings, are still strong, pages are of high quality paper and unmarked, and unfoxed and untorn, the covers have light shelfwear, prior, owner names on front endpapers, else VG to VG+ the lot; ALL, three volumes are in dustwrappers which have done their job but, have done it at a loss as some have large chips, rubbing and, short tears, NOW all in clear mylar jacket protectors which, gives a picture of how these three factually-loaded volumes, looked when graduating from the printer. Profusely illustrated:, All 96 full-page plates in black & white, with 16 in color are, collated. Note bene: two pages of hand notations found while, collating plates. 582 pages filled with detailed description of, such subjects as pigmentation, color, designs, historical, periods, gilding, paint, brushes, etc etc.
