Synopsis
Corruption has, unfortunately, become part of our everyday lives. For thousands of years, it has existed in all facets and all areas of the globe. Most forms of corruption are well known to everyone. In today s marketplace, we see this corruption from the individuals or groups of individuals, who attempt to gain access to our bank accounts through Internet fraud, from the passing strangers who call at your house trying to get you to hand money over for services that you don t really need, up to whole Governments. Corruption is everywhere. When it is an individual carrying this out, we are more inclined to report, or act on this crime, but the bigger the organization, the more we feel as though there is nothing we can really do about it. In short, we just accept that it exists, and our apathy simply increases the corrupter s resolve to carry on. This novel is not about a famous film star or celebrity, who decides to write about their, sometimes, short career, in the hope that people will find it interesting, it is about an ordinary guy in the street. It is about someone you may have noticed on the bus each morning on your way to work, or glanced across at a set of traffic lights, sat in the car next to you. It about one of you. Just one of millions of normal, hard working people who you pass every day like ships in the night. It is also about an individual, who spent years in a trade, learning his art and gaining many qualifications to become one of the most highly decorated tradesmen in his field. It is also the story of someone who fought for most of his career, to by-pass the general feeling felt by the public, that his trade was one of the most corrupt. It is a story of someone who was extremely passionate about his job, who challenged a big corporation, because he could no longer live with this corruption., Corruption has, unfortunately, become part of our everyday lives.
