That’s because of the weird closure in the back where it has three layers of Velcro. I have about eight pairs of keen, Newport, H2 sandals and none of them have a closure like that and all of them are comfortable.I hadn’t thought about the implications of the Velcro back closure when I purchased the shoes. My bad.
