Developer Clap Hanz's whimsical approach to sports games moves from the links to the courts with Hot Shots Tennis. Building on what made Hot Shots Golf a success, Hot Shots Tennis features a cast of quirky, cartoon-like characters, a variety of unlockable extras, and a realistic physics engine behind the arcade-style action. Players can choose one of 14 characters while trying to improve their stats and overall ranking by winning events against stronger opponents. Eleven offbeat court locales are included, ranging from tropical beaches to ancient ruins. The heart of the game is the single-player "Hot Shots Challenge," which involves advancing through seven classes and unlocking costumes, chair umpires, court objects, and more. New players can practice their timing and footwork with a series of drills in the Training Mode, while friends can compete in their choice of head-to-head or doubles matches supporting up to four players.

    The shipping was fast which is nice for the holidays. It was securely packed and the item is as described. I was a little worried at first but after replacing the batteries the toy worked. The hand button might need fixing soon but that's a common issue with this type of toy and how old they are. Overall I'm super happy with it and I know my daughter will be thrilled we were able to find this toy for her birthday! A+++
