Nice unit, decent quality, works as advertised, for my installation not so easy to fully spin the detector onto its mounting bracket. I don't do texting, but Ring customer service got the app connected to the Kidde. This unit replaced a 10yo expired Nest Protect, which has been discontinued. I really miss the built-in motion-activated night light of the Nest. Unlike Nest, Kidde has the red third wire to set off other connected alarms in the home.

The package I received, was not what I ordered. The color was wrong. I reached out to the seller. They were very responsive, and quickly worked to solve the issue.
