Works well with optical cable. Didn't have luck with RCA TV connection but probably should use optical instead of RCA anyway. Had to set Audio on TV to PCM to hear hulu. Youtube did not require this. My 3rd party microphone works very well. Setting volumes for individual speakers works, its loud and powerful but not too loud. Great value for $115. Very pleased.

The speakers are mostly highs with some mid. No real mid bass though. Was lacking that wow effect. Bass didn’t go deep enough for action scenes in movies and musically I would say it dips off at around 40hz. The led lights only stay turquoise or can be turned off. The sub can change any pattern but cant choose a single color. Its a odd setup but cheap enough for a budget stereo system ��♂️
