The plush is different. Still about the same weight though and softer. It seems thin at first but it fluffs up a lot. I assume there is some type of filling in between layers to compensate for the nap not being as thick. My kids fight over our original vintage ones, so I will be purchasing more to give to them as gifts. Good job and thank you!
