Poe's 'The Murders in the Rue Morgue' introduced the world to its first literary detective, Le Chevalier C. Auguste Dupin, and established many literary devices used in future fictional detectives, including Sherlock Holmes and Hercule Poirot. Beyond Rue Morgue invites its authors to continue Dupin's exploits, while retaining that touch of the strange and macabre for which Poe's work is so well known., Features literary detective, Le Chevalier C Auguste Dupin. This title deals with Dupin's exploits with a touch of the strange and macabre., An anthology of stories based around the very first mystery detective, Le Chevalier C. Auguste Dupin, created by Edgar Allan Poe. Dupin famously featured in 'The Murders in the Rue Morgue' (1841), then went on to star in two more investigations, 'The Mystery of Marie Rog t' (1842) and 'The Purloined Letter' (1844). The anthology will include the original 1841 story and Clive Barker's sequel, 'New Murders in the Rue Morgue' (which was first published in his Books of Blood series) to bookend the stories. Contributors: Steve Volk, Lisa Tuttle, Simon Clark, Joe R.
