The bass itself is as expected - brand new. It has a great sound, almost indistinguishable from the real thing (depending on mic settings), but way more portable and it looks pretty cool too. 365-shop-japan had great communication - very fast and clear suggestions when one of the pegs made a grinding sound (not their fault) and was easily fixed. Great value.
