Lightweight and compact. Can't tell you how nice that is when it comes to carrying. Sturdy and robust is how I describe this saw. Like a ten inch tablesaw, this tablesaw cuts a 4x4 in half with two passes. Won't miss my old heavy 10 inch tablesaw. Yes, it can cut a 4x4 in half at a 45 degree angle. I'm all smiles!
