It draws upon guidance from the National Service Frameworks for Diabetes and Care of Older People (UK) and the Department of Human Service Standards (Australia) and provides an ideal companion to Care of People with Diabetes., There is very little information available on the nursing management of older people with diabetes, many of whom are cared for in care homes. This book aims to provide nurses with the skills and knowledge needed to recognise symptoms of diabetes in older people and to provide skilled and effective evidence-based care.
