The iPod classic was meant to be a refurbished item (with an expanded and faster memory) but arrived looking and packaged as if brand new from Apple. As Apple are no longer interested in providing this (genuinely) 'classic' item I was very pleased to be able to make this purchase. (I have previously, twice, had Amazon cancel an order for such an expanded classic iPod.)
