The Honda EX1000 model is suitable to power TV, lights, fans, small power tools, recharge phones and laptops, charge 12 volt batteries, and more. You can plug two electric power cords directly into the side of the generator using the 3-prong AC receptacles that run off the built in inverter. The generator features DC terminals for charging 12 volt batteries, with a DC circuit breaker that will stop the engine in case of improper connection. Relax for a long run time between refills with the 0.82 gallon gas fuel tank. The Honda EX1000 portable generator engine will run all day to power small electric appliances at home or on your boat or RV, with a noise emission of only 64 decibels. Many homeowners choose to have a generator for self reliance in the event of a blackout. In the event of an emergency, you can rely on your Honda EX1000 generator’s recoil starter and transistorized magneto ignition system to fire up even if the generator has not been used in a long time. For tailgate parties and camping trips, the 57 pound weight makes it easy to toss in the back of a pick up using the large carrying handle. Many features of the Honda EX1000 generator alert you early to maintenance needs, protecting it from engine damage. The oil alert system automatically stops the engine before the oil falls below a safe limit. The pilot lamp illuminates when the Honda EX1000 generator is operating normally. The AC circuit breaker stops the engine in cases of voltage overload or other electrical load problems to protect your generator engine from damage. The forced-air cooling system prevents overheating. The Honda EX1000 generator can be modified for high altitude use with a simple carburetor adjustment.
