When the item arrived it had missing paint along the edges and blotchy paint work in general on the top. The connection cords (red/white) were the same as in the photo but they were the incorrect ones to hook up. This NES requires the three connection (red/white/yellow) cable so I had to buy that. Finally the controllers did not work well. I had to buy two new ones.

It seems like it takes a bit of force to get the game cartridges in and out of the slot, and the black pained lid is okay, but a little sloppy on the inside of the game slot cover. Still, happy with my purchase and would do it all over again.
