The developers made a concentrated effort to improve the game based on community feedback and to ease new players into the series, making "Atelier Shallie" a great choice for veterans and newcomers alike."Atelier Shallie: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea" focuses on the exploits of Shallotte and Shallistera. Shallotte runs her late father's shop while learning alchemy on the side and Shallistera searches for a way to save her home village from a drought. Shallistera's side of the story will focus on the truths and secrets of the Atelier world. Shallotte's story shows the day to day life and intricacies of the world. Their friendship is one of the crucial focuses of the story, as well as how it changes the world around them.Unlike the other games, this one has the Life Task system. This lets the player know of certain goals that need to be completed at a certain time. The Life Task system tailors itself to how you play and act in the game. The world changes depending on what tasks you complete and how you complete them. Monsters and items will disappear or change depending on what you do, and failure to complete a Task changes your exploration and item-gathering abilities.Alchemical item creations are the mainstay features of the Atelier saga, which sets" Shallie" apart from usual RPGs and their mechanics. Players will combine items through the alchemy system and take part in turn-based battles to level up, learn new abilities, and grow stronger. Where this PS3 version differs is in subtle ways that long-time fans of the series, as well as newcomers, will appreciate. The fields in the game are now much bigger, allowing tons more exploration options and lets players gather more items as well. It also greatly reduces the amount of trips necessary to collect a particular item, so grinding sessions are significantly reduced. "Atelier Shallie: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea" is rated E10+ for Everyone over the age of 10. It contains fantasy violence, mild language, mild suggestive themes, and the use of tobacco.
