Synopsis
Toxic Farts is the perfect bathroom reader for the scientifically inclined, detailing hundreds of deadly ways that nature works to keep humanity in check. This book provides the information we need to survive!, Why does nature try to kill us? In the same way that humans "thin the herd" when a particular group of animals grow too dense or too expansive for their habitat, nature tries make sure we live in balance with the world as well, which, let's face it, we suck at. Toxic Farts, Brain-Eating Amoebas, Mosquito Assassins & More details hundreds of the scariest, messiest, smelliest, most terrifying ways that nature works to destroy, maim or sicken humans every single day. Each page of this book examines an oddity (or two) from the natural world that is harmful to humanity. And we're not talking about car wrecks, warfare, drug overdoses or parachute accidents. We're talking about biology, chemistry, botany, invasive little critters that eat our brains, slimes that dissolve our flesh, smells that cause our throats to close up, and other environmental assassins. Provided with such information, we might just survive. That's right. It's humans vs. the world and, damn it, we're going to win if it kills us., An eye-opening examination of the earth's most deadly threats to mankind, including nearly 300 horrifying (and sometimes humorous) entries If you think the biggest threat to humanity is our fellow humans, think again. From flesh-eating fiends and parasitic pests to icicles just loose enough to impale from above, we as a species have innumerable enemies and not nearly enough places to hide. With this book, you can prepare yourself for death from natural causes - particularly the ones that seem wholly unnatural. Featuring more than 290 creatures, disasters and other agents of destruction, Toxic Farts includes every way imaginable that the planet is actively trying to get rid of you, whether in the wild or the "safety" of your own backyard, giving you even more reasons to never leave the house. That's right. From face-melting plants to leopard serial killers, it's humans vs. the world and, damn it, we're going to win if it kills us.

- r***g (242)- Bewertung vom Käufer.Letzter MonatBestätigter KaufBook was "nearly new" and "as described" in listing. The advertised price was fair and a good value. Unfortunately, the seller's shipping partner was very slow to get the book packaged and shipped. Shipping took too long, and the tracking info gave no reliable info on shipping date, time in transit or expected delivery. Seller did everything right, but their shipping partner needs improvement. I recommend this seller to other eBay buyers....... just make sure you're okay with the shipping terms.
- e***u (283)- Bewertung vom Käufer.Letzter MonatBestätigter KaufThe listing was for a hardcover version of this book; however, I received a paperback. The Seller replied quickly to my question about this issue and issued a full refund - and let me keep the book. So, a diligent Seller for sure - and well packaged and reasonable timing on shipping. Thank you for the refund, and as you suggested, I'll likely donate this volume and seek the hardcover.
- e***n (392)- Bewertung vom Käufer.Letzte 6 MonateBestätigter KaufGreat transaction, exactly as described, packed well, and promptly shipped on August 6th. Unfortunately the U.S. Postal Service took 23 calendar days to deliver the book. It was shipped from Pennsylvania, to Atlanta, past Alabama to Texas, enjoyed several days in Texas, then to Minneapolis, Jacksonville, Florida, back to Atlanta, finally to Birmingham, and Huntsville. The seller was very responsive and I decided it was interesting to see if/how the book would arrive.
