This product works with all Minolta Maxxum Autofocus SLR cameras. It can be a great choice for anyone who needs an autofocus zoom lens sharper than a macro lens. Only Maxxum lenses are designed to fit your Minolta AF precisely and give optimal performance. Each item is created using a proprietary computer-assisted design and features an integrated circuit for advanced linking. This will form a cohesive unit with your camera to deliver stability and reliability every time.In retail packaging, the kit includes an owner’s manual, a quick start guide, a cloth for cleaning, and a pouch for safe keeping. This Minolta 100-300mm unit is compact and portable. It measures just 3.9 by 4.1 by 6.1 inches and weighs less than a pound (about 440 grams). You can keep it attached to your equipment or have it with you in a pouch or case. This uses the A-mount interface, which allows both a physical and an electrical connection. Attaching and detaching the lens is fast and simple.The Minolta AF 100-300mm zoom lens has a maximum focal length of 300mm and minimum focal length of 100 millimeters. This centers at 200 millimeters and can be adjusted in either direction for desired results. The integrated circuit provides real-time exposure and focus data to the CPU of the Minolta AF. Digital processing helps to deliver excellent operation in both manual and automatic focusing. When manually focusing, the ring rotates smoothly and is easy to manipulate. A focus-hold button on these lenses lets you stop the AF drive on demand and release the shutter at the preferred position. You can also customize the button with different functionality. It works well in low-light conditions and has an integrated encoder to ensure accurate flash exposures.Capture the perfect shot every time thanks to a 55-millimeter filter that helps ensure optimal color and sharpness. The aperture range is f/4.5 to f/5.6. This delivers a full frame for both digital and 35-millimeter film. Achieving balance even during the most difficult shots is easy because of the auto-clutch mechanism that is compatible Minolta AF cameras. This means the unit doesn’t move the focusing ring while autofocusing, and it's sharper than most macro lenses.
