Tuning pegs were dysfunctional, holes drilled were stripped to hell at the ends like it was forced, making splintered ends, sawdust everywhere, the bow was already coming apart, the scroll was unfinished, I'm almost certain that the "maple" it was made of, was simply heavily stained pine, and the decorative wear on the face outside of the f-holes looked like someone dumped turmeric on heavy scratch marks.

Minor nags-packing styrofoam-could have been better-parts of the guitar were breaking through. There was a serious puncture in the box but no damage to the bass. Factory protective plastic over the chrome pots mounting plate was very hard to remove! Had to take the plate off to remove it all. The tuning pegs-paddles are thin compared to more expensive basses but seem solid. Only needed small adjustments for string height and intonation. Very nice.
