Its classic ROM-based gaming cartridges allow for faster load times and smoother gameplay. Ranging from 4 to 64MB, some Nintendo 64 cartridges even allow players to save their in-game progress onto them. Their sturdy, compact design makes them hard to accidentally damage. This, along with the N64's solid-state design and few moving parts, made this console an incredibly durable system.
