Panasonic's PVQV201 is a simple, inexpensive way to record your favorite TV shows and movies. This VHS VCR is a 2-head mono deck, and it comes with nice extras, including Commercial Skip, auto clock set, program end search and a universal remote control.When activated, Time Stamp helps you recognize what you've recorded onto a particular tape. It tags the beginning of each new recording and displays on screen the starting date and time, ending time, and the channel of the recorded program. By placing a signal on the videotape control track, you can automatically access programs on your tape by entering the corresponding "1-9" keys on your remote. During playback, pressing the "CM ZERO" (CM SKIP) button on the remote control advances the tape in 1, 2 or 3-minute increments, letting you skip unwanted scenes or commercials. By using the Extended Data Service signal from your local PBS channel, your clock and date are set automatically. They will also be automatically reset in the event of a power outage.
